The show itself had something for everyone. Remixes to Lorde’s ‘Tennis Court’ and ODESZA’s ‘Say My Name’ caught the attention those attendees less familiar with Flume’s artistry.
He seamlessly transitioned between songs, being sure to include crowd pleasers ‘Never Be Like You’ and ‘Say It’. Flume opened the show playing ‘Holdin On’, a hit from his self-titled debut album.
The balance between new and old songs kept his more recently acquired fan base engaged, without leaving longtime fans feeling shortchanged. Inside The Fillmore, openers Charles Murdoch and Hermitude set the vibe and hyped up the crowd before the main act. The tour has further promoted his already hugely successful sophomore album, Skin.įriday and Saturday nights saw eager fans swarming to witness this hot artist perform. Last weekend’s two sold out shows at The Fillmore in Miami Beach marked the halfway point of DJ Flume’s, extensive world tour, stretching across New Zealand, the States, Europe and his homeland, Australia.
